3. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on our own server infrastructure in Germany. Visitor data is not passed on to external service providers.
When you visit the website, the web server automatically stores information that your browser transmits in log files:
- browser type and version
- operating system
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in presenting the website without technical errors and in optimising it. The log files are deleted after 14 days.
4. Contact form and contact by email
If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we store the details from the form or the email, including your contact data, to process your enquiry and for follow-up questions. The form transmits your name, organisation, email address, topic and message as well as the time the page was loaded; the latter is used only to detect automated spam submissions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries). The data is kept until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent or the purpose no longer applies. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsischer Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragter).
6. SSL / TLS encryption
The website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect confidential content during transmission. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser.
